The Storm

There’s the metallic ring of raindrops on metal; the back of the air conditioner is hanging from the window like an appliance in hibernation, waiting for it’s day to come again. There’s finally a warm breeze after the chill of winter; the vent is open to let a few breaths of fresh air be caught by the house before winter digs back in. Outside the clouds are lit with silent depth charges; grey never looked so bright as when you stare into the teeth of a thunderstorm.

...this would be obvious, but OH no.

Not so subtle jab at the wannabes who fav random art off the "new art" page without even looking at them... just for the pageviews when that artist comes to their page to thank them for the fav.

I consider that practice cheap and shallow, and offenders of this should be smacked. Stop abusing the favorite system for the pageviews!

Fav art because you LIKE it!!

Edit: Thank you guys for all the faves and wonderful comments, I'm glad this strikes a chord with more then just me. all of you.

Those people annoy me... .3. I'm that kind of person who thanks for favourites, unless the artist's tells people not to no their page.
BUt when someone fav my work, and I go to their page, just to find out that my deviation is not the 20th last favourited after a few seconds, I just turn around and go back... >w>
Besides, I don't care about pageviews. They don't mean anything ._.

...So, that explains it.

They just want the pageview? Dude, when people fave my stuff, I'm like really happy and I'm especially happy with a comment, which if they comment I know they're not one of these people.

But, anyway... Why would they even do this? What value does a pageview have? ;-;

On another note, I like this stamp. It's really nice and taught me something about DeviantART and some of their people. I hope you don't mind if fave it. :3

I couldn't agree more with this. I don't mind the faves, and I love them... but when they just fave my art because of pageviews it really pisses me off.
For me, I like to revisit pieces that I fave because they ARE something that I love to look at. Isn't that the reason the fave system was created in the first place?
